Get to know the faces and the people behind a strike at the Sheraton Hotel Downtown Phoenix. Workers hit the picket line to get the attention of the Marriott executives that negotiate with the Unite Here Local 11 Union, and to demand fair wages and improved healthcare benefits for full-time employees.
La Gattara Cat Cafe
La Gattara Cat Cafe in Downtown Phoenix has more to it than what appears on the surface. Being a regular source of adoption for stray and homeless cats, the cafe is a place for people looking for furry friends to take home, or to spend an hour with. These cats are stress relievers, and mental health helpers from Thursday to Sunday located on Garfield St.
I worked as the executive web design editor for The Chic Daily from September of 2023 to May of 2025. The current web design was a complete overhaul of an outdated site that had been unchanged for many years.
